Redcat Racing XBE Buggy

The redcat racing xbe buggy is a totally fun vehicle to drive. With its 4WD buggy style body and chassis you will want to drive for hours. Unfortunately though you can only drive as long as the battery life allows. One way to extend your time is to purchase an extra battery. This way with two fully charged batteries you get to extend you’re driving time by two. Beware of the neighborhood dogs as some of them love to chase these RC vehicles as they are driven around the neighborhood. Sometimes they like to grab them and do their best to chew on them. This could potentially mess up some tires, so try to avoid them as much as possible.  Redcat Racing XBE Buggy

What else can be said about this vehicle. Redcat lives up to their motto when it comes to building RC vehicles for the hobby enthusiast, Fun, Fast & Affordable. This RC meets all those standards. Once you drive it you will be thinking up ways to test it on your next run.

Redcat Blackout XBE RC Buggy Overview

Redcat Racing XBE Buggy

You purchased Blackout XBE RC Buggy finally arrives at your door. Full of excitement you bring it inside and remove the RTR(ready to run) 4WD buggy out of the box. You place the LiPO battery, that came with the vehicle on the charger. You take your freshly purchased AA batteries and install them into the controller. As you are waiting for the LiPO battery to charge you inspect the vehicle. Give it a good look over to make sure all parts are functioning, tight and ready to roll once the LiPO battery is fully charged.

Now that your new 4WD XBE buggy is completely ready you put into action the plan you have made as to where you are going to drive it. Once you arrive at your location you link the remote with the vehicle and its now all systems go. You place the buggy on the ground, clutching the pistol grip, fingers on the foam steering wheel, your eyes focused on the path in front, you squeeze the trigger and dirt begins to fly. At this moment all of life’s worries fade away as you are now focused on the precision of your steering and finesse of the trigger. Welcome to the world of RC 4WD buggy driving.  Redcat Racing XBE Buggy

With your senses in tuned you accurately steer the Blackout XBE 4WD buggy exactly where you want it to go. The excellent performance and innovative chassis design make this a unique vehicle. Its chassis uses several interchangeable parts such as: hub carriers, gear boxes, body post, suspension arms, turn-buckles, differentials and steering hubs. Each of the four suspension arms can be used at any corner of the chassis. The same is true for the steering hubs and upper suspension arms. These parts are also interchangeable, hub carriers, bumpers, turn-buckles, body mounts, gear boxes and diffs.

The Blackout XBE 4WD Buggy comes equipped with a powerful 550 brushed electric motor, 2.4GHz radio system, waterproof 40A brushed ESC, not submersible, 7.2V 3000mAh NiMH battery pack and NiMH charger. The Blackout XBE comes pre-assembled and RTR, ready to run. You will be pleasantly surprised at how this vehicle provides plenty of excitement, at an affordable price, while saving you time and money with all the interchangeable parts. I recommend, that with the savings you invest in a second battery to extend you’re driving time. You will not be disappointed or regret this decision.

To help with the 4WD independent suspension this vehicle is equipped with oil filled coil over shocks which allow the Blackout XBE to maintain its composure while driving over rough terrain. You will appreciate this as you are blasting around the vacant lot, local race track or your yard. Do your best to steer clear of immovable objects such as concrete curbs, boulders and trees. This vehicle is durable but not indestructible. The interchangeable parts are tough but they are not made of titanium alloy. If they were you can through affordability out the window.  Redcat Racing XBE Buggy

You drive the vehicle over to your feet, exchange the batteries and your off to the races once again. The fun continues for about another 20-30 minutes then it is time to call it a day. I like to remind hobbyist enthusiast to bring your camera so you can take some fabulous pictures and videos to keep these memories alive for many years to come.

How Fast Does the Redcat XBE Go

Redcat Racing XBE Buggy

How fast does the redcat XBE go you may ask? I really like this Redcat. Nice speed (close to 40mph on 2s and 50mph on 3s). You can increase the speed with an upgrade battery pack. There are 2s and 3s. The difference is that 2s has two cells in the pack whereas 3s has three cells in a pack. More cells will give you that little extra speed.

A LiPo cell has a nominal voltage of 3.7V. For the 7.4V battery above, that means that there are two cells in series (which means the voltage gets added together). … So a two-cell (2S) pack is 7.4V, a three-cell (3S) pack is 11.1V, and so on.

Sound confusing. If so you can look up these items for clarification in redcat racing RC parts. As you search each part it will let you know what vehicles it is compatible with.

  1. These sound awesome. I used to have radio-controlled small vehicles in the past and absolutely loved it. But not so much when I tried to jump them and they would end up in pieces. The ones today sound more robust and the off-road stuff really makes me itch to get back into it. The ones I had never reached those sorts of speeds and even then you had to concentrate on what you were doing. My guess is these are the ultimate adrenaline rush.  I think I am going to have to drag out the wallet.
