The electric truck is 26.38 inches long and is a pretty big size truck. This new generation of the Shredder brand vehicles comes with large grip off-road tires, big bore oil filled shocks, and incredibly powerful brushless power system. When, you first receive this vehicle from the delivery company you will want to check to make sure it wasn’t transported in the delivery vehicle upside down. You will know it was as the oil from your shocks will have leaked out. You will also want to ensure the tightening of tires and other accessories before your first run. Sometimes these items are shipped loose for safety reasons during the delivery system.

With the size and speed of the shredder Redcat has added some upgrades to ensure it can stand up to all that power. Many of the plastic components were upgraded with high impact molded plastic to improve durability and performance. Not included with the purchase so you will need to buy two 2s batteries plus a charger. It has been recommended that you buy 2s 100c 8000mah so you can enjoy 50 minutes of run time at a speed of around 40-50mph. For the battery charger you can get the Redcat Racing HX-403 Hexfly Lipo Battery Charger. It is also suggested you buy a battery safety storage bag – Zeee Lipo Safe Bag Fireproof Explosion proof large capacity bag.

You could also purchase a metal spur to replace the plastic one for a longer lasting drive time. Redcat Racing MPO-019 Steel Spur Gear, 49T. This was everything I hoped it would be. Controls are very precise and the bucket is also a lightweight metal as opposed to plastic. It works great with wide range of motion and capability. Some controls work simultaneously so you can control the arm and the bucket in coordinated motions to scoop up objects, or you can control the tracks with the bucket to back up while scooping etc. it also climbs very well and you have to be careful to shift weight of the bucket etc to avoid toppling over because it is able to climb over large obstacles with ease. Battery lasts over an hour so far and haven’t even switched it out for the extra one, so the fun won’t stop like with fast RC cars that die after 15 min. Only issue I’ve had is the track popping off if spinning it too much on carpet surface. Easy to pop back on though. I wish they would have also added the grabber tool in the package with the extra battery, but it’s still a very fair value in the $70-$75 range with coupons they often run.

I bought this for my daughter, but I suspect we’ll be fighting for who gets to play with it. I never had an RC car before, and this is pretty cool. The set up was mostly easy. The car is fully assembled, just need to remove from package, charge the battery pack in the car (included), and install 2 AAs’ in the remote control (not included).

Once everything was charged and installed, started playing with it. In the house for now, as it’s muddy and slushy outside. The controls are very tight, I’m able to make very precise maneuvers around the furniture. Must be a lot of fun to do this at full speed outdoors, can’t wait!

Great for the price!! We got one each for my sons one as a Christmas gift and they absolutely loved it. They are 6, so not too experienced with RC cars but these are super easy to handle. The remote control was super easy for them to work! It’s a perfect size RC Truck and like I said awesome for the price! Very durable and fun! I would recommend to any one looking for something like this for the kids or even an adult. My husband had fun with them too!!

Redcats’s Volcano-16 monster truck is designed with some aggressive looks and performance. Redcat Volcano-16 Brushed Monster Truck – Racing Brushless Style. The Volcano-16 is RTR, ready to run, and comes complete with two 7.4V 800mAH Li-ion rechargeable battery packs, USB battery balance charger cable, 2.4GHz radio system. The Volcano-16 also includes a set of LED headlights.

The monster truck comes in two colors, red and blue and is small enough to be driven indoors, as mentioned above, and is powerful enough to tackle outdoor terrain. This compact 1/16 scale monster truck is packed with lots of exciting features.

The Volcano-16 is powered by a 390 brushed motor and has a splash proof brushed ESC/receiver. I always like to use a little extra precaution with these splash proof receivers by wrapping them with some electrical tape. I have had a few die from water material getting into their tiny crevices. Not just small streams of water but also from driving in terrain like wet sand. The tires throw the sand everywhere so a little extra protection, in my book is worth it. Who wants to wait for replacement parts. Let’s keep driving until the sun goes down, or your mama calls you in for supper.

A metal heat sink helps to keep the motor cool and T-style connectors ensure reliable power delivery from the rechargeable Li-ion battery pack. I’m glad someone took the time to engineer these products. The Volcano-16 includes two rechargeable battery packs. Thanks for giving us two of them. This will lengthen you’re driving time. Going outside to drive my new monster truck Mom, see you tomorrow. LOL The included 2.4GHz pistol grip radio offers reliable control and comfort. The radio includes steering and throttle adjustments, so you have the ability to set the speed for beginners and when driving indoors. This efficient radio only requires two standard AA batteries, which can be purchased separately. Or you can use two from the TV remote or from another toy that you’re not currently using. We have purchased rechargeable AA and AAA batteries as you will find the need for several of them over time. Or when you’re running low you can always call the grand-parents. Just a thought.

The Volcano-16 includes a durable plastic tub chassis, beefy independent suspension arms, adjustable threaded body coil over shocks, front and rear gear differentials and full time shaft driven 4WD. The large front and rear bumpers, with impact resistant mounting brackets, look good and offer protection against crashes. Pop in the included set of LED headlights for enhanced nighttime visibility. Yes my friends the party goes on through the night or until all your batteries die out and need recharging. You can even take this monster truck out while camping. LED headlights are awesome.

Now lets burn rubber. Time to test these aggressive tire’s. An aggressive tire design offers excellent traction on multiple surfaces and the firm tire compound offers long-lasting tread wear, even when driving on pavement. The black plastic wheels are durable and stylish. Let’s just see if this is true following your burn rubber test. Let us know the results.   

The manufacturer recommended age is 14 years and up but I believe you can go with younger ages just make sure there is adult supervision.

Racing The Piranha In All Types Of Terrain’s

Everything you need to make you’re experience to the world of hobby grade RC vehicles that is fast, affordable and will bring hours of fun to you’re daily activities. This RC is a rear wheel drive, off-road electric truggy style vehicle that is equipped with fully adjustable suspension, good ground clearance, and some aggressive off-road tires, except on ice. For this terrain you will need tire chains or spikes. Something you could manufacture in you’re garage if needed.

With this truggy RC model you can choose to tear up the outdoor track or help you’re dad trim the grass by driving around in the yard. What I have always liked about outdoor driving is there is very little limits as to you’re driving range. Mother nature always provides some pretty cool obstacles for you to drive over, through or go airborne. It allows you to use you’re imagination.

No matter where you choose to drive this vehicle the Piranha TR10 is ready to chew up the competition with it’s hi-torque 540 Brushed motor is controlled by a waterproof 2-in-1 ESC/receiver combo. Driving through small levels of water is possible from the out the box ready to run. If, choose to be a little more on the safe side you could wrap you’re electrical components, like the server with some electrical tape. You will also not want to completely submerge the vehicle.

1964 Chevrolet Impala SS – Fully Functional Hopping Lowrider

The 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS – Fully Functional Hopping Lowrider was designed and built by Jeroen de Vries – better known as Jevries. He has always enjoyed the model kit world and wanted to make the models jump like real cars. Jevries got creative with his knowledge of circuit boards, relays and hacking servos as he designed his first hopping low rider from a model kit he purchased from Radio Shack. He cut and changed the plastic chassis and added all kinds of materials he found at his local hardware store. Finally, after several test he was able to make a small car that could hop, pull into three-wheel motion and pancakes back to the ground just like real size low rider cars.

For Jevries the low rider vehicles look like no other custom cars out there, they are an expression of ones individual personality, taste and lifestyles. There are several options for colors, patterns, murals, pin striping, accents, engravings and the list goes on. Being able to modify your vehicle is what gives it your own independent defining look that represents your style and individuality.

After several years of traveling and showing off his new design’s for hopping toy vehicles he had many individuals asking where they could purchase one. His hobby was about to evolve into an actual dream come true. From many of his videos he posted on social media it caught the eyes of Redcat Racing industry for remote control vehicles. Redcat got in touch with Jevries and told him they were interested in making an RC vehicle based on his design and have it available for sale to the public. So after a joint collaboration between the two they came up with what we now have as the 64 Impala Hoping Lowrider RC vehicle in the 1 1/0th scale.

 

This is what the design has become. We now have the SixtyFour – Fully Functional 1:10 scale RTR Hopping Lowrider that has been expertly designed and engineered. It’s design captures the 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS in a classic highly-detailed, fully-functioning 1:10 scale Remote Control Car. The SixtyFour was designed from the ground up with the low rider, auto enthusiast and R/C scalar communities in mind. Do you agree. If so leave comments below.

Every detail of the SixtyFour was painstakingly and passionately created with scale accuracy and detail. The Impala SS interior and exterior bagging adorn the 1964 Impala SS body and interior with 23 individual chrome plated molded parts which are used to create the body’s accessories. Optional LED lights are available for nighttime cruising, more details on this below. The attention to detail continues below the body, with the chassis frame, faux transmission and functional solid rear axle with removable differential cover. Who, likes to make adjustments. These features enable the owner to make changes and give the impala their own look and style.

The SixtyFour is designed for slow cruising and performing tricks that you can only do with special hydraulically actuated suspensions. Using specialty servos and precision weight bias, it replicates the driving style and overall look of a full sized low rider / hopper.
